Dual-wavelength laser platform

What it is

GentleMax Pro combines a 755 nm Alexandrite wavelength and a 1064 nm Nd:YAG wavelength in one platform. Manufacturer information describes the Gentle Pro family's use for selected pigmentary, vascular and other dermatologic applications, depending on configuration and local indications.

How it works

A vascular target and a melanin-related target are not the same biological problem simply because one platform can reach both of them. Two wavelengths broaden the platform's technical range; they do not mean any wavelength suits any target.

Why two wavelengths matter

Range is not the same as the right fit.

755 nm and 1064 nm interact with tissue differently, and wavelength selection follows the diagnosis and the patient's skin characteristics — not device availability. That the platform carries two wavelengths is a technical capability, not a reason to reach for it for every pigment or vascular concern.

Wavelength selection follows diagnosis. A vascular target, a melanin-related target and other applications are not the same biological problem simply because one platform can reach more than one of them — the platform is chosen for its range, but the wavelength used for a given patient is chosen for the target.

When another approach may make more sense

If pigment or vascular change is not clearly the dominant finding, or the concern sits outside what either wavelength on this platform is suited to reach, a different technology or a medical evaluation may be the more direct approach.
